Meet Your Teachers!

Picture
Ms. Eng-I am very happy to welcome you to Walt Disney's Tuition Based Pre-Kindergarten class!  I graduated from Miami University in Ohio with a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education.  I received my Masters degree in Reading from Northeastern Illinois University and will be finishing my certification as an ESL teacher this year.  (I am planning on teaching English in China over the summer).  This is my fifth year as a classroom teacher and my third year in pre-kindergarten.  Previously, I have taught kindergarten and first grade.  Although teaching and kids are my passion now, a large part of my life before being an educator involved competitive synchronized skating.  I was a figure skater for 20 years and was fortunate to have the amazing opportunity to travel and compete around the world.  Some other interests of mine include running, reading, scrapbooking, shopping, and spending time with my family, friends, and my new puppy, Bobo.

Ms. Moran – I am a graduate of Roosevelt University with a Bachelors degree in Special Education. I plan to continue onto my Masters degree in Early Childhood Special Education.  I am currently an Inclusion Aide at Welles Park in the afterschool special recreation program and am also a Direct Support Provider for individuals with disabilities and their families. My passion for teaching students with special needs stems from my experience as an older sister of a sibling with autism. I am also a Golden Apple Scholar and believe that all students deserve good teachers. Besides teaching I love to travel and experiencing new things.

Ms. Gomez - I graduated as a Franklin Honor Society member from Roosevelt University in Chicago with a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. I am currently working on my ESL/Bilingual Endorsement and plan on continuing it as a Masters degree. Not only is teaching my passion, but also dancing. I have been a Mexican folklore dancer for about 18 years now. Currently, I am a member of The Academy of Mexican Dance and Music. Dancing has allowed me the opportunity to compete and tour the world to such places as Spain, Portugal, France, Taiwan, and Dubai. Some of my other interests include exercising, baking, traveling, and arts and crafts.
